Unlike other general weather apps, it is said that the character is applied to express not only weather information but also the character’s live emotions. The character of Houho, designed with a slightly cute water drop feel, expresses the weather by moving directly, so it is good to know the weather information more easily. Especially in the case of me, I liked the fact that it compares the weather yesterday and today and includes a neat widget function, so I threw away other weather apps and replaced them.

The first screen of heavy rain is weather information for the current location. You can clearly see the difference from other weather apps just by looking at it here. In the case of other weather apps, only numerical values of wind and humidity are provided, or the general temperature is focused instead of the perceived temperature. However, heavy rain helps us understand the weather more easily by showing the character’s activities directly, indicating the temperature as a sensible temperature, and explaining the wind and humidity in words. 좋은뉴스
My favorite weather information is yesterday versus today. In general, I think it is more convenient to understand today’s weather by explaining whether it is colder or warmer than yesterday’s weather. Since there are not many weather apps equipped with this function, it can be seen as a special feature of heavy rain.
Heavy rain also provides information on the UV index and fine dust, which people are curious about. It seems quite convenient to inform the weather information in expressions that anyone can understand easily, rather than explaining this and that with numerical values or difficult expressions. However, I sometimes feel that it is a bit embarrassing to keep shouting a heavy rain at the end of every word.

This is the settings tab for heavy rain. My favorite feature here is the ‘Heavy Rain Alert’. It is a function that gives a quick notification only when it rains, and there were many times that I always wanted to have this function, but I am using it well through this app. You can also set a separate time to receive a briefing on the weather, and it is also possible to continuously display weather information on the top bar.
And the image above is a widget function of heavy rain. You can also set the transparency or text color by tapping the widget while it is being used on the desktop. The widget automatically updates the weather information approximately 5 to 10 times a day, and provides explanations for the perceived temperature, wind, and humidity. The design of the widget is so pretty, I think it would be good for many people to use.
